For the exhibition ” The Hills Are Alive With The Sound Of Muzak” at artspace Nieuwe Vide in Haarlem a music on hold system was created whereby the number of Nieuwe Vide was temporarily updated with a series of additional menus. This system temporarily updated the Nieuwe Vide’s phone number with additional menus, offering an immersive experience into the artwork “On Hold,” which delved into the history and psychology of muzak.
In addition to being able to call and listen to the project from anywhere in the world, visitors within the exhibition space could use a specially created phone booth to call and hear the work.
